Micro-service application fabric in cloud native framework requires the visibility and control of specific functionality to the developers so as to enable the scalability of specific functions within an application. Meanwhile, NFV networking service on-demand requires quick development and deployment of new APIs according to fine-grained deployment requirement. The convergence of NFV networking service on a cloud native platform gives rise to unique characteristics in architecture and technology framework. This presentation explores the use case, requirement and characteristics of architectural framework to enable cloud native NFV networking on-demand for carriers. Specific technology, i.e. a model-driven, extensible framework will be introduced to enable the “right-size” functionality to the “point-in-time” demand, and the scalability through those “micro-service” APIs.
