DevOps Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) methodologies are key to the transition to virtualized networks and have become the backbone of OPNFV. On a nightly basis, OPNFV builds 30+ scenarios and deploys them in an automated fashion to a network of global community labs across multiple hardware platforms. In the context of a particular release, OPNFV creates and tear downs thousands of OpenStack data centers integrated with multiple NFV components and perform thousands of lines of automated test code against each component. This level of built-in testing and automation enables a new paradigm of network provisioning, speed, and technical diversity.
