Open source cloud & NFV stacks utilizing software defined networking are starting to reach maturity. Yet tools enabling one touch deploy of full stack solutions are inadequate. Manual configuration, recurrent debugging, difficult upgrades and non-reproducible deploys are some of the problems facing user deploy scenarios. In this talk, Marcus and Daniel will explain how to use a number of tools to deploy a full stack of software that includes OpenStack, OpenDaylight and OpenvSwitch using NetVirt and SFC use cases. The talk will cover packaging of the opensource tools mentioned. Methods discussed for deploying the fulll stack include Puppet, Ansible and Docker and will include a section on deploying with OpenStack/Kolla. Finally Marcus and Daniel will talk briefly about an ongoing nascent effort to use some of the deploy tools mentioned to test the scale and performance of SDN deployments.
