Dr. Oguz Sunay

Oguz Sunay is the CTO of Argela-USA. He is the architect for Programmable Radio Access Network Framework (ProgRAN) for 5G based on SDN, NFV, cloud technologies, and Network Virtualization. The framework enables dynamically programmable RAN slicing. Dr. Sunay is also leading Argela's efforts at ON.Lab and ONF. Dr. Sunay has held prior positions in Bell Labs, Nokia, Koc University and Ozyegin University. He holds over 25 patents on 3G and 4G and has over 20 patent applications on the ProgRAN architecture. He has actively participated and presented in 3GPP standards activities for Argela, Bell Labs and Nokia. He received his Ph.D. and M.Sc. from Queen’s University, Canada and his B.Sc. from METU, Turkey.
