Dr. Kun Tan  is Chief Architect and Director of Huawei Cloud Network Lab, and leading the cloud networking research.  Dr.Tan is  an generalist in computer networking and communication with  rich experience in all layers of computer networking from application layer (Layer 7) to physical layer (Layer1). 

He is the inventor of Compound TCP, which is shipped in Windows Operating System.  He also led the development of Sora software radio system, which is one of the most popular SDR platforms in use. He has a long publication list on top conferences, like SIGCOMM, Mobicom, NSDI etc., where he also won a number of community awards, such as Best Paper Award in NSDI 09 and Best Demo Award in SIGCOMM 10.
