Currently, I am a research engineer at SKT. Before joining SKT, I received a Ph.D. in network systems at Seoul National University in 2015. Prior to SNU, I received BS at KAIST in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 2008. While doing BS, I joined WINE lab and carried out the projects regarding the wireless networks such as a vehicular ad-hoc network with 802.11p WAVE protocol and improving the TCP performance in wireless environment. Since 2011, I have carried out multiple projects regarding Information-centric networking (ICN) and software-defined networking (SDN). Specifically, I focused on an incremental approach to deploy ICN to the existing IP networks by proposing and developing a cache router with the open source cache server and NetFPGA for efficient web delivery.While working for Ph.D., I worked at IBM-Research Austin for 6 months in 2012. I was a research intern in data center networks group. During this internship, our team investigated ways to exploit SDN for data center networks. I was responsible for developing a low-latency, sampling-based measurement platform for SDN, as well as investigating the challenges of Data Center Bridging for improved data center networks. Since April. 2013, I have participated in multiple development projects, including implementing a content-centric router on a multicore-based platform, extending the bluetooth low-energy (BLE) stack for multi-hop transmission and federating SNU's CCN testbed with EU testbeds using OpenStack and OMF. Now I am mainly focusing on the OpenDaylight project and the measurement issues for large-scale data center networks.
